Remove Delta Toolbar from Add-ons manager

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox.
  2. From the Firefox orange button (Or from the standard Tools menu), click Add-ons.
  3. In Add-ons manager left side menu bar, make sure Extensions is selected
  4. Disable or remove the Delta Toolbar add-on
  5. Restart the browser.

Remove Delta Toolbar from Windows programs

  1. Click the Start button and select Control Panel.
  2. Select Programs and Features.
  3. Select Delta Toolbar from the Programs list and right click to uninstall.
  4. Click YES on the popup message.

Remove Delta Search from default search engines

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox.
  2. Click inside the Search text field and press the F4 key
  3. Select Manage Search Engines from the drop down list
  4. Select Delta Search and click the Remove button.

Remove Delta Search home page

  1. Open Mozilla Firefox.
  2. From the Firefox orange button (or from the standard Tools menu), select Options.
  3. In the General tab, delete the Delta URL from the Home page text box.
  4. Click OK to save the changes.

Remove Delta Search home page from New Tab

If you open a new tab in Firefox, and delta Search home page is still there, please do the following:
  1. Type: about:config in the address bar and press enter
  2. Confirm the message.
  3. Type: browser.newtab.url in the Search text field
  4. Right click on the result and select Toggle (or Reset in older versions)


* Restart your computer after completing all the above steps.

  2. Click the Customize and control button ("3 streaks” icon or wrench icon in older versions) and selectSettings.
  3. Click Extensions in the left menu.
  4. Remove/Disable the Delta Toolbar.

Remove Delta Toolbar from Windows programs

  1. Click on the Start button and select Control Panel.

  3. In the On Startup section, Click on Set Pages and delete the Delta URL (you can set a different home page by entering a URL of your choice).
  4. Click Ok to save the changes.
  5. In the Appearance section, click on Change and delete the Delta URL (you can set a different home page).
  6. Click Ok to save the changes.


* Restart your computer after completing all the above steps.

I rely on my Windows Mobile device on a daily basis (make that hourly) and this morning when I was not able to access my 8 gigabyte Micro SD card I was almost dead in the water.
All my email attachments, work files and even the storage for all my applications including photos, music and RSS data are on there. I was able to check email (albeit without attachments for what has already come in to my inbox.) I was able to get on the internet and make calls but I could not research a new article, email my invoices from the day before or even look at the pictures and video we took of my daughter yesterday.
I thought I covered all possible scenarios and problems with Windows Mobile Devices in our Windows Mobile Guide ““ but this one had not happened to me yet.
I will walk you through what happened and how to recover data from a USB drive or memory card if it becomes corrupted.

I turned on my HTC Fuze this morning and my RSS program called RSS Hub said to me that it could not find my memory card with the default storage location and it asked me if it should use the internal storage for the data”¦ WTF?!?
This is what I need this early in the morning right? I took out my laptop as I opened up my file manager on my phone and there was no storage card! I popped the Micro SD card out and threw it into an adapter. The adapter let me slide the card into it and then it has a USB adapter on the end. I plugged it into my laptop and my machine recognized it as a drive and gave it a letter. But when I went to click on it I get a error box with a message. It says E:\ is not accessible. The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable. DAMN! DAMN! DAMN
Ok time for a little command line magic. I hit the start menu ““ run and typed CMD to bring up a command prompt. Then I typed Chkdsk e: /r

The chkdsk command checks a disk for structure corruption. The e: tells it what drive letter to use and the /r tells it to repair the issues it finds. You may see the warning that your drive is not a Windows XP drive ““ this is not an issue. You can continue on by pressing Y to continue. It will start to run through the files and directories. You will feel a lot better when you see your file names”¦ It proves all is not lost! Aren’t you glad you went this route instead of formatting it?

When it is almost complete it will ask you if you want to save lost chains into files I always pick yes but have never used those files once to this day!

Chkdsk will report back what it has done and then go to my computer and check out your drive. Mine opened at this point and I was able to get to all my data as you can see below

I then popped my Micro SD card back into my Windows Mobile and was good to go. All in about 7 minutes on the train. Not too shabby eh?

Living in an Internet era, one of the major concerns that any person can have these days is regarding the security of data stored in computer system. With the rapid increase in the use of computers at workplaces and at homes, data security has become and always going to be a crucial factor. In fact, as the importance of having hard copies of documents is fading and the society is gradually moving towards the “Paperless Office” it has become essential that we start applying diverse means to safeguard our valuable data. Many of us consider taking backup of crucial data and deleting data permanently from system could be the best practice we could follow. But, performing any such act can’t be considered as ideal solution. What to do if you lose the backup copy or backup gets corrupt?
 
Moreover, in general many of us also have got the tendency of creating new files or copy files from different sources. In this entire process of creating or copying files from various sources, very often you too delete those files that you initially presume of no importance. You delete it at any point of time. The deleted files could be very well stored in the recycle bin. And, if you delete files from the recycle bin, then probably you lose those files forever. Apart from that there are scenarios where files get corrupt due to various reasons. You may have formatted the hard drive accidentally instead of formatting expected drive.

Well, “it is impossible to recover the deleted or corrupt files”, is the general perception that we all carry. But if we talk in context of present scenario then it is possible to retrieve permanently deleted files.

Any simple operation of deleting any file from your computer doesn’t destroy its content immediately. Actually, Windows just marks the hard drive space as being available for use by changing one character in the file table so that the file entry won't be displayed in My Computer.

Deleting a folder never wipes out the information permanently. In fact, just the folder is marked as deleted and particular stored location is flagged as free to store new data, but the real data remains intact till the moment the deleted file gets overwritten along with new data.
Today you too could recover erased files on home computer very effectively with the help of data recovery application. Hard disk recovery software is soothed with all the versions of Windows operating system. Hard drive recovery software allows you to restore entire deleted or lost files from your formatted hard disk. The recovered data will be arranged on basis of name, date, size and file format.
A proper utilization of data recovery software allows you to restore deleted files, including documents, photos, folders, mp3 and zip files and all kind of damaged files.
