US actor Paul Walker, who starred in the Fast & Furious series of action films, has been killed in a car crash in California.

Walker, 40, was a passenger in a Porsche sports car driven by a friend - who also died - when it crashed north of Los Angeles.

Walker was said to be attending a charity event at the time.

He starred in all but one of the films in the Fast & Furious franchise, the sixth of which opened in May.

Walker also starred in the suspense drama Hours, a movie that is set for release this month.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's department said the crash happened in the community of Valencia.

It said deputies found a car engulfed in flames when they responded to a report of a collision. Two people found in the car were pronounced dead at the scene.

Images showed the burned-out wreckage of a red Porsche by the side of the road.

"It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organisation Reach Out Worldwide," the statement on the actor's Facebook page said.

"He was a passenger in a friend's car, in which both lost their lives. We... are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news.''

Universal Pictures also issued a statement, saying studio staff were "heartbroken" by Walker's death.

"Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast & Furious films, and to countless fans.

"We send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Paul's family."

Walker played undercover agent Brian O'Conner in the Fast & Furious movies.

The first film of the franchise was released in 2001 and the seventh is in development.

Walker was one of the leading protagonists, along with Vin Diesel and Michelle Rodriguez.

Diesel said in a post on Instagram: "Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless. Heaven has gained a new Angel. Rest in Peace."

Masala Telugu Movie Review, Rating | Venkatesh | Ram | Live, Tweet Updates | Story
Masala movie is a remake film as known to most of us. Remake story is nothing but carrying a first aid box, tool box and a ‘Stepney’ while proceeding on a journey when we foresee some unusual travel conditions. You know the way to win. Hence chances of risk are minimal. That is the reason why when Hero of Venkatesh stature speaks, thats enough to take up a remake story. In the same way, his eye fell on Bol Bachchan. Venkatesh took very less time to decide. That too the story line also matches Venky’s capability. He thought he can easily perform the role. And that is the reason why another remake movie came to us in the form of Masala. Did Venky’s thought succeed ? Was his journey safe? To know we must taste the new flavour of Masala formed by Venky and Ram.

Rahman (Ram) & Sania(Anjali) are siblings. They grew up in problematic childhood. Ram is unemployed. Their ancestral property issue is dragging in courts since years. Their life has become miserable in native place. They had to leave their home town. They enter Balram (Venkatesh) town. Balram is the head of the town. With a hope of a livelihood with Balram, Rahman in a tricky situation had to introduce himself as Ram. A muslim is managing to live like a Hindu. Rahman is seen in a masjid. Another lie to cover the first, saying he was his brother Rahman and he is Ram. This lead to two roles in Rahman. How Rahman managed to dole his two roles and how he untied the entangled knot is the story of Masala.

Bol Bachchan story is not so new. It was a combination of 4 to 5 telugu movies put together. Vijay Bhaskar tried to copy the story inch by inch in Telugu. Ofcourse, he very well knew how to deal with such storylines and add comedy makeups to it. Vijay Bhaskar didn’t try to use his own brain at all. Even while customising Ram and Venky in telugu flavour he missed. Probably producers have instructed him to follow same to same. Or he must have decided not to take risk, he never went for any modifications or improvements.

Venkatesh, an international cricketer was made to play street cricket. Venky’s situation was such. He effortlessly portrayed entraining role of Balram. His butler english dialogues brought good amount of laughter provided you must understand english. Chiru also used such slang in Shankar dada MBBS but difference is he used most popular telugu proverbs. Core telugu audience followed easily. But that magic didn’t happen here.

Ram’s energy is seen well in the movie. We can’t expect Abhishek Bachchan’s strength, but upto his capacity he justified. No one would be ready to take up the character he played. Ram’s skills are applaudable. Anjali and Shazahn are less important characters. Anjali looked plumpy. Shazahn could not register her face despite being attractive. Ali and MS Narayana’s roles are OK. Its a variety role for Jayprakash Reddy this time. After Ram and Venky he stands next in marks list.
As we all know, Thaman’s music is “Singing the old song”. Remake rights are bought officially, but Thaman is known in lifting tunes of others from back doors. RR is also copied. He used leftout RR of Bodyguard in this movie. Andrew’s camera skills are appreciable. He tried to expose scenes lavishly.
First half has some lapses. Comedy without any logical link. Story remains at the same place where it started even after an hour. Every character of the movie is designed for comedy. People also will laugh. But the actual thread which is supposed to bind the comedy line is missing. We many times get a feeling of watching continuous comedy bits in a TV serial. This movie is created believing the strength of entertainment with support of Ram and Venky.
Its worth when you make up your mind to just go and laugh, for some time. If you expect more than that, mistake would be yours.

Telugu Mirchi Rating : 3.0/5

Fourteen years after he played a cameo in Amitabh Bachchan-starrer 'Suryavansham', Brahmanandam will be seen in Hindi film 'Welcome Back', a sequel to the 2007 hit 'Welcome'.

"I signed the film after the director (Anees Bazmee) had approached me with an interesting role. I play a thief in this film and it's a fun role that I couldn't let go of. Anees told me he had watched several of my Telugu dubbed films in Hindi and he particularly loved my expressions in them," Brahmanadam told us.

"I'll be shooting in Mumbai and Dubai soon. My portion will be mostly alongside Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor," he added.

One of the busiest actors in Telugu industry, Brahmanadam said that he was initially not interested to take up the film.

"I'm extremely busy in Telugu, and therefore, never was really keen to enter Bollywood. I wasn't interested this time as well, but Anees convinced me to be part of the project and since I really liked my character, I couldn't turn it down," said Brahmanadam.

Brahmi, as he is fondly called by his fans, has over two decades of experience as an actor. Some of his best films include 'Aha Na Pellanta', 'King', 'Dookudu' and 'Dhee'.

The success of films like 'Madras Cafe' and 'D-Day' seem to have encouraged Bollywood's intrigue with sleuths as the industry has a number of spy movies lined up that range from straight espionage adventures to action comedies.

Many top actors and directors are teaming up for several gritty, realistic or comedic spy films, which has been a favourite genre for Bollywood filmmakers.

After the success of 'Barfi', Ranbir Kapoor and director Anurag Basu are getting together again - this time for sleuth film 'Jagga Jasoos'.

According to the makers, this film would be along the lines of 'Sherlock Homes' meets 'Austin Powers', a typical Bollywood entertainer with right dose of action, comedy and music to cater to popular taste.

Ranbir and Anurag would jointly produce the film under a new banner called Picture Shuru Productions. The film will also star Katrina Kaif and Govinda and will begin shooting in November.

"We are making franchise films. We are trying to make a big film like 'Sherlock Homes' meets 'Austin Powers'... It is going to be an entertaining film," Ranbir said.

Known to pull off heroine centric films with elan, Vidya Balan has also given a nod to the Dia Mirza's production venture 'Bobby Jasoos'. The actress, who is being hailed as 'India's first lady detective', said she is happy to do something a la James Bond in the film.

"I am thrilled to be lady James Bond. The film will mark the arrival of India's first lady detective and I am quite happy to be a part of it," Vidya said.

Shooting will start early next year and the film is set for a 2014 release.

'Kadhai Thiraikkadhai Vasanam Iyakkam', which has a quirky tagline "a film without story", has created a strong buzz among audiences and its director R. Parthiepan is elated with the response.

The film featuring an all new cast was launched on November 7. Shooting is expected to start in a few days.

"My intention was to intrigue the audience with the tagline. People have started to talk about it. They are asking, how can there be a film without story? The purpose of such a tagline was to create that curiosity in public and I have achieved that," Parthiepan told us.

"My film will be a satire on the filmmaking process with an interesting screenplay. I have tried to build a narrative based on certain events. For instance, when we look at a film like 'Life of Pi', its screenplay is based on whether the tiger will eat the boy or it won't. Whatever you see in the film is the extension of one of those events," he added.

Parthiepan, who has previously helmed as well as starred in films such as 'Housefull', 'Ivan' and 'Sugamana Sumaigal', decided not to act in his latest film.

"I know acting is my strength but having worked with different filmmakers in their films, I have donned varied roles, but in my own film 'Housefull', I played a 70-year old man and that role was not accepted by audiences.

"Even my mother couldn't accept me in that role," he said.

"When I act in my own films, audiences have a certain expectation from me. Since I have already announced that the film doesn't have a story, I thought it would make sense if I don't act in it," said Parthiepan, who is also producing 'Kadhai Thiraikkadhai Vasanam Iyakkam'.

The row of flops faced by junior ntr in recent times even after teaming with top directors and successful producers is making his position slip from top three to top five. This is really embarrassing the Fans of junior ntr who has once seen their hero as next to Chiranjeevi. However, Tarak slowly lost the hold and judgment on scripts and the result is continuation of flops with last release of ‘Ramayya Vastavayya’ directed by ‘Gabbar Singh’ Harish Shankar.

As per the latest updates from media circles, NTR is holding rounds of secret meeting with his Fans Associations to take their feedback on what is really going wrong and what is really missing in his films. Some insiders revealed that, NTR also fired his manager and currently looking for a replacement. One big hit is what Tarak needs and director Santosh Srinivas of ‘Kandireega’ fame currently dealing the big star is determined to deliver the goods.

Actor-filmmaker Rakesh Roshan said Monday he is planning a ‘Krrish 3’ sequel but in future will work with Hrithik on a fresh script outside the ‘Krrish’ franchise.

"I`m currently not working on a film outside the `Krrish` franchise with Hrithik, but I will do a film in the future. I would love to direct him in a fresh script as soon as I`m relieved with this franchise," Rakesh Roshan told reporters here.

The filmmaker, known for directing films such as ‘Khoon Bhari Maang’ and ‘Karan Arjun’, launched Hrithik with hit movie ‘Kaho Naa... Pyaar Hai’ in 2000.

"I will start working on the sequel soon. Due to public demand, we may include some sidekick characters as well," said Rakesh Roshan.

Accompanied by Hrithik and cinematographer Tirru, senior Roshan was here to celebrate the success of ‘Krrish 3’, which has been received well in Tamil Nadu.

Source: ZNews

Overwhelmed with the response to 'Krrish 3' in Tamil Nadu, Hrithik Roshan expressed his desire to do a Tamil film.

"I have never received so much love outside my home and I'm overwhelmed about it. You guys have made my film successful and I'm touched by it and this proves that you have accepted me. I want to do a Tamil film for the love you have showered upon me," Hrithik told reporters here at an event.

"If I can't do a straight film, then I would at least like to include Tamil characters in my films in future," he added.

He was speaking at the meet-and-greet event organised to celebrate the success of 'Krrish 3', which has reportedly minted over Rs.200 crore worldwide.

His father Rakesh Roshan directed and produced 'Krrish 3', which has done exceptionally well in Tamil Nadu as well.

"I have never seen this kind of response for a Hindi film here. Our film released in Tamil Nadu with approximately 65 prints in the first week. In the second week, it was increased to about 90-odd prints. This shows the success of the film," said the senior Roshan, who had accompanied his son along with cinematographer Tirru.

"Usually in the second week, the number of prints comes down but the reverse has happened in your state. People have asked me - will 'Krrish 3' now enter Rs.300 crore club? And I told them that it's in your hands," he added.

'Krrish 3' also features Kangana Ranaut, Priyanka Chopra and Vivek Oberoi in important roles.

Famous Southern dialogue-story writer, Kona Venkat will now be penning for star actor Allu Arjun. The writer has been roped in to write story and dialogues for an untitled Allu Arjun's film. The flick will be directed by Gopichand Malineni. It is being said that the filmmaker has already read the script and is busy in giving final touches to it.

Kona said, “After our blockbuster BALUPU me & @megopichand are teaming up once again for one more rib tickling entertainer with power packed action. I will be giving the story & dialogues for this film. We will be pitching our script to Allu Arjun who can add his style and energy!” The ace writer is pretty excited about this project and looking forward to give another hit after Balupu.
If the latest buzz is to be believed then the budding actress Shruti Haasan will be replacing Tamannaah Bhatia in the upcoming Mahesh Babu-starrer action-entertainer Aagadu, as revealed by a close source.

The source close to the director said, "Shruti's name has come up for the lead role in Aagadu. However, nothing has been confirmed yet as Srinu Vaitla (director) has to take the final call. We should have some clarity in a couple of weeks.” A few months ago reports came up that Tamannaah has been roped in for the role but as Shruti is growing as one of the most popular faces in the industry, she was always there in the consideration. While Tamannaah’s last four Telugu projects proved flops at the box-office Shruti climbed the ladder with Gabbar Singh and Balupu. Presently Shruti is awaiting the release of her Telugu romantic-drama Ramayya Vasthavayya.
The Southern film industry is showered with audio launches these days as the filmmakers are releasing the music albums in sync with Vijaya Dashami sentiments. The makers of Aagadu, starring Mahesh Babu, were also planning to launch the movie during these festivities but at the last moment they decided to defer their plans till next week.

As the latest buzz reveals the three producers of the film, Ram Achanta, Gopichand Achanta and Anil Sunkara, have decided to launch the movie next week. The movie, directed by Srinu Vaitla, will star Tamannaah Bhatia as its female lead. After the wonderful journey of Dookudu, the actor-director pair of Mahesh and Srinu is teaming up once again for the first time and expectations are huge from the duo. Now we wonder if Srinu and Mahesh can recreate their magic once again or not.

Right from the title, the superhero film weirdly titled Krrish 3 (and not Koi Mil Gaya 3 or Krrish Returns) makes it clear that this will appeal to a whole range of audiences:

1. Who can’t count. Pre kindergarten kids who won’t know there is no Krrish 2.

3. Who don’t care. Because… they don’t usually think about these things when it comes to movies. They have come to get their mind blown away once again by Jadoo, the alien dwarf.

6. Who get the joke. That Krrish’s third thumb makes him count differently.

11. Who are high. And you thought we don’t make enough stoner films. There’s enough hallucinatory action that compares well to the craziest of stoner comedies — a mutant with a long tongue stealing ice cream, shape shifting Kangna who morphs into Priyanka, a superhero who labours to fight a big tongue…

25. Who have insomnia. Just try to pay close attention to the plot involving creating life through sunlight and before you can count 1, 3… Just keep your wallet safe and set an alarm three hours later.

43. Who have amnesia. You won’t blame it on the plothole. How did Priyanka Chopra escape from the villain’s den in the snow-clad mountains and report back to duty in Mumbai within minutes? You forgot? That’s because of your condition.

71. Who need a haircut. You will pull out your hair halfway into the spot the rip-off sequence game. The visual effects are all poor imitations of popular action set pieces. Replace Gotham or New York with Mumbai.

99. Who need a tooth extraction. By the end of the spot the rip-off sequence game, you would have ground your teeth to powder and would not require an extraction.

151. Who like the Scary Movie franchise. Just like that franchise pokes fun at all the horror films of the season, this desi franchise spoofs Hollywood’s comic book films with a fresh take on the superhero dynamic. Not the regular ordinary hero and alter ego here. The heroes here are dumb and dumber. One’s a mad scientist who burns himself to death and the other who gets beaten up by a villain in a wheelchair who can barely move a finger. Roshan Jr. is all ham and cheese.

214. Who like Vivek Oberoi. This is not a minority. There are a lot of people who like Vivek Oberoi when he does not have to act. As Kaal, he plays a supervillain who can barely move a muscle.

333. Who hate Vivek Oberoi. There are a lot of people who strangely didn’t like Prince, that epic superhero movie featuring Vivek. They will see him play a dumb villain dressed up in trash.

1341. Who are into trolling science. We have heard of children born without a father. In Krrish, the villain is born without a mother. Unless Jadoo and Rohit (Hrithik from Part 1) did something together that kids shouldn’t know about.

20,311. Who have kids and want more. Having kids means taking them to movies like this just because they want to see Krrish and buy his friendship band. This movie will make you review your entire life and choices.

1,34,555. Who don’t want kids. This will only strengthen your decision. Especially if it means exposing them to films like this under the pretext of entertainment.

2,85,63,921. Who have enemies. Buy them a ticket and do an evil laugh.

200 crores. Who make jokes. Trade analysts, critics, comics and anyone who needs material for their tweets, updates, blogs, smses, forwards… The joke is on you. The film has already crossed 200 crores.

(If the numbering here doesn’t make any sense to you, you just might have a problem with the randomness of the progression of events in the film.)

The crackling chemistry on screen between the lead pair of 'Ram Leela', Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, results from the fact that the two actors are fond of each other and enjoyed doing the film together, says director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Ever since the trailer hit the screens, the chemistry between the two has generated a lot of interest, which Bhansali feels will help the film.

"If in a love story, people are liking the chemistry of the hero and heroine and feeling their love then your love story has more chances of succeeding. The chemistry has come out so well on screen and the credit for it goes to the actors as they have got themselves involved into the plot and got into the skin of the character of being in love," Bhansali told PTI in an interview here.

"Whether there is something between them in real life or not is not my concern as a filmmaker.. I am excited to see them together on screen. They have done a wonderful job as actors. And chemistry is a natural vibe, when two people come together there is a vibe that happens or doesn't happen."

According to Bhansali, because the two actors are fond of each other and like to act, they enjoyed doing the film.

However, he feels the focus should be the film. "Actors have their personal fans... it is the audience that has to connect to the film.. that is important. Their chemistry does help the film."

In 'Ram-Leela', Bhansali has tried new things like adding a special song of Priyanka Chopra, a passionate kissing scene between the lead actors etc.

"One can't keep making same things again and again otherwise it will be boring for me as well as for the audience. So if you do something unexpected I like it and...contd

After having emerged victorious in the TV show hosted by Mallika Sherawat, model Vijay Singh from Dharamsala may in fact end up tying the knot with the Bollywood actress. But any plans for marriage may not be finalised any time soon as the duo want to spend some time off the camera to understand each other better, Vijay said over the phone from Pune, where he is participating in a Manish Malhotra show. The duo is expected to visit Dharamsala next week where they may give serious thoughts to the idea of marriage during an extended stay at the hill station, Vijay said. And, asked whether the marriage speculation was serious news or mere reality television gossip, Vijay, (24), the winner of 'Bachelorette India - Mere Khayalon Ki Mallika', said, "We are soulmates".

Vijay (24), the youngest of seven siblings, defeated 29 other contestants to emerge on top in the finale episode of the show. Vijay said, "Mallika is heading to Los Angeles for 10 days for shooting... We will go on a holiday after she returns." Meanwhile, Vijay's eldest sister, Usha, who is settled here, did not seem too enthusiastic about the marriage plan, saying her brother was still young for marriage and had a lot more left to achieve. "He is not mature enough to take a decision on a soulmate at this juncture... Screen life is not real life," she said.

For a long time now, Ram Gopal Varma has been teetering on the brink of a career collapse. His latest offering Satya 2 adds a little extra push on his back for a descent into the oblivion.

The movie, though titled to pass off as a sequel, has nothing in common with the 1998 gamechanger apart from the shabby gunslingers and the seedy underworld dens they hole selves in. A decidedly glum fellow named Satya (Puneet Singh Ratn) arrives in Mumbai armed with his persistent scowl, tons of confidence and no less bad intentions. It’s the Mumbai without the underworld, we’re told. The old malcontents have retired, thrown behind bars, or taken the natural route to politics. But this new Satya of Ramu aims to revive the underworld, start a company that would hold the system and the powers that be to a ransom. Industrialists, cops, media, all in the crosshairs of his gunsight. On the side, he takes out time to woo a girl (Anaika Soti) who lord knows what she sees in him to reciprocate his overtures.

This new Company that Satya starts is different from the previous such anathemas. This one is visible only by its actions than by the actors, by its casualties than its entity. And to all the bloodbath, Ram Gopal Varma gives a moral justification through a voiceover one can’t but be amused by. The justification is: the bad which is done for larger good, is good. Go figure!

Ramu’s 1998 flick Satya had at its heart a taut screenplay, finely etched characters played by actors one better than the other. Satya 2 has at its heart the fear of a filmmaker who has put his last penny on his most trusted pony to win him the losing day. But as Ramu should have learned from the tragic-comedy of Ram Gopal Varma Ki Aag, you can’t make the same soufflé twice.

So what we have in Satya 2 is a bouquet of sequences cherry-picked from Ramu’s own films -- both good and bad -- and cobbled into a threadbare story by Radhika Anand. Ramu does his bit by assaulting our dear senses with blaring background score and by vertiginous camera angles that makes one wonder if the cameraman had a spin in a washing machine before calling the shots.

The actors contribute no less in the damage. Puneet Singh Ratn tries to act imperious, cold and bold, but doesn’t command much screen presence. From the sidelines, only Mahesh Thakur, as a swanking, rotund builder leaves a mark. Anaita Soti (as Satya’s ladylove) and Aradhna Gupta don’t get much scope, and thankfully so.

Satya 2 is amongst Ramu’s tackiest films and they are not few by any count. The only thing admirable about it is the director’s resilience. By the dozen his career obits have been penned, but the dogged filmmaker keeps going one worse on his previous disasters. For that consistency he has my admiration.

"She (Kainaz) is a wonderful actress and a delight to work with. Her part is written in such a way that she will definitely be noticed for her performance. "I'm glad she doesn't feel alienated in our industry. It's just the beginning for her here as I'm sure she has a bright future ahead," he added.
